The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is seeking qualified manufacturers to produce the MJU‑68/B infrared‑countermeasure flare, a thrusted flare used in the AN/ALE‑47 dispenser system. This is a sources‑sought market research effort; no contract has been awarded yet. Interested firms must demonstrate recent experience with similar IRCM products, possess the required DD Form 2345 and Joint Certification Program (JCP) number, and be able to supply technical drawings upon request. Small‑business status is encouraged, and responses should include capability statements and past performance details.
• Manufacture of the MJU‑68/B flare (≈1.5×1.5×10 in, 1.66 lb) with aluminum case and impulse cartridge ignition (BBU‑35/CCU‑145).
• Must have DD Form 2345 approval and a JCP number; drawings released after certification.
• Submission deadline 6 Nov 2026; response required in the form of contractor overview and market‑survey questions (experience, risk mitigation, teaming).
