Snow and Ice Removal

The State of Delaware is seeking a vendor to provide snow and ice removal services for various state agencies and facilities. The contract will be for a two-year period, with the option to renew for three one-year periods. The vendor will be responsible for providing all equipment, materials, and labor to supplement the state's need for snow and ice removal. The contract will cover all state agencies and will be accessible to other entities, including school districts, municipalities, and higher education institutions. The vendor will be required to cooperate with the ordering agency to ensure that the state receives the most current state-of-the-art materials and services. Some key requirements include: • Providing snow removal equipment in sufficient numbers to maintain all contracted sites in a safe and timely manner • Clearing sidewalks, steps, handicap ramps, and landings of snow and ice • Removing snow from steps and ensuring that no piles of pushed snow remain on any portion of ramps • Reporting any issues or problems to the agency representative immediately • Providing a detailed description of the methodology and approach used for snow removal • Submitting prices in increments of 3 inches, starting at 1 inch, for Zone 4 The evaluation criteria will include experience, general background, reputation, and years in business, as well as the vendor's ability to perform snow removal work and meet timelines for completion of the project.
