The City of West Des Moines is seeking bids for the 2026 Digital Enterprise Network Expansion project. The project involves the installation of a multi-user fiber optic conduit network within public right-of-way to support the connection of every residence and business in the city. The contractor will supply and install all vaults, conduit, tracer wire, test stations, and other ancillary items required for a complete and functional conduit network. The project includes the installation of various sizes of conduit, vaults, and test stations, as well as the connection to existing vaults. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project. Key aspects of the project include: • Installation of conduit and vaults • Connection to existing vaults • Furnishing and installation of test stations • Provision of tracer wire and connections to testing stations • Coordination with other contractors, utility companies, and property owners • Maintenance of sanitary sewer and water services during construction The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities.
