Sources Sought Notice for Tunnel 9 Pitch Upgrade

The US Air Force is seeking information from contractors who can perform a comprehensive modernization of a high-performance hydraulic motion system at Tunnel 9, a geographically separated unit of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). The project involves designing, fabricating, assembling, testing, and supplying a complete hydraulic system, including a proportional valve, cylinder, and hydraulic power unit (HPU). The system must be compatible with the existing motion apparatus and supporting structures, and must meet specific performance requirements, including a working stroke of 120.5 inches and a linear speed of 13 ft/s. The contractor will be responsible for providing a detailed design package, conducting factory acceptance testing, and demonstrating the system's performance through simulation and testing.
