ELECTRICAL RETROFIT OF BAYFRONT PARKING STRUCTURE

The San Diego Unified Port District is seeking a qualified electrical contractor to fully retrofit the lighting and related electrical systems of the Bayfront Parking Structure (1 Park Blvd, San Diego). The work includes demolition of existing fixtures, installation of new LED luminaires and light poles, conduit and wiring upgrades, grounding, testing, and commissioning, while keeping the garage operational (minimum 80 % floor access) and complying with all applicable codes and safety plans. The contract is divided into a Base Bid (Level 01, Level 07, and all stairwells) plus five additive schedules for each remaining floor, with a total estimated construction cost of $900,000 and a performance period of 180 days. • Complete electrical retrofit of all seven parking‑structure levels and stairwells, including LED fixture replacement and new pole installations. • Provide all labor, materials, equipment, demolition, traffic‑control, BMP, testing, commissioning, and training; maintain continuous public access throughout construction. • Submit detailed construction sequencing, traffic‑control, and safety plans; meet California Electrical Code, prevailing‑wage, CARB, and SBE participation requirements.
