Service Canines

The City of Tucson is seeking responsible and experienced vendors to supply Service Canines for the Tucson Police Department and City Court. The vendor must provide canines that meet all standards outlined in the scope of work, including three categories of canines: Police Service Dog, Explosive Detection Canine, and Wellness Canine. The vendor must also provide certified X-rays, health certificates, and veterinary records, and must allow City personnel to test the canines prior to purchase. The City will evaluate proposals based on method of approach, qualifications and experience, and price proposal. • The City is seeking vendors who can provide high-quality service canines that meet the City's standards. • The vendor must have experience in providing service canines for law enforcement agencies. • The vendor must be able to provide a minimum of 10 viable service canine candidates for the City to choose from. • The vendor must be able to provide certified X-rays, health certificates, and veterinary records for each canine. • The vendor must allow City personnel to test the canines prior to purchase. • The City will evaluate proposals based on method of approach, qualifications and experience, and price proposal.
