Description
The Board of Commissioners for Charles County is seeking sealed bids from qualified firms to construct a new Mattawoman‑Beantown well house, install a >75 hp well pump, demolish the existing well house, abandon the old well, and perform associated road and sidewalk work to MDOT standards. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and will require a 5 % bid bond, performance and payment bonds equal to 100 % of the contract price, and compliance with prevailing‑wage and MWBE requirements. The project must be completed within 540 calendar days after the notice to proceed. Bids are submitted electronically; a pre‑bid virtual meeting (Nov 10) and site visit (Nov 12) are optional.
