Description
The Rexburg Urban Renewal Agency is seeking qualified contractors to completely demolish the former Madison Learning Center (mandatory) and optionally the former Seminary Building, remove all debris, cap existing sewer services, backfill excavated areas, and secure the site. The work must protect existing asphalt, sidewalks, curbs, and Rocky Mountain Power infrastructure, with strict bonding, insurance, and licensing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and must be completed within 120 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
• Full demolition of the Madison Learning Center (60 W Main) – required; optional demolition of the Seminary Building (30 N 1st W).
• Removal of all demolition debris, capping of five sewer services under Madison building and one under Seminary building, and backfill with granular material to existing grade.
• Site security, dust control, protection of existing asphalt, sidewalks, curbs, and Rocky Mountain Power lines; performance and payment bonds equal to 100 % of contract price; 5 % retainage and liquidated damages for delays.
