Psychology/Psychiatric Fire Trauma Intervention Specialist Services (Re-Bid)

The City of Spokane Fire Department is seeking a licensed psychology or psychiatry professional to provide comprehensive fire‑trauma intervention services. The contractor will deliver rapid on‑site debriefs after critical incidents, conduct peer‑support team training, offer ongoing counseling and consultation, manage related documentation, and maintain 24/7 on‑call availability. The work includes both in‑person and virtual services, travel expenses, and integration with medical teams, spanning an initial one‑year term with potential extensions up to five years. • Critical‑incident debriefs within 3 days of any fire‑related trauma event. • Quarterly peer‑support team training and at least one annual department‑wide wellness training. • Confidential therapy, assessments, referrals, and documentation support (FMLA, PFML, IOD). • 24/7 on‑call service and travel coverage. • Contract renewable annually up to a total of five years.
