Laney College Air Compressor Project Phase II

Peralta Community College District is seeking a qualified contractor to upgrade and expand the compressed‑air distribution system at Laney College (Building G, Fab Lab and multiple technology suites). The work includes installing new mains, manifolds, air drops, overhead hose reels, pressure regulators, selective demolition, patch‑and‑paint restoration, coordination with existing building services, and full system testing, start‑up, and a one‑year warranty. The contract will be awarded on a lowest‑responsive‑bid basis, with a 90‑day performance period and liquidated‑damages of $300 per day for delays. • Install new compressed‑air mains, manifolds, drops, and overhead hose reels in specified suites (G101, G130, G160, Fab Lab). • Perform selective demolition, patching, painting, and coordination with ongoing campus operations. • Provide all required bonding (10 % bid bond), insurance, certifications, and compliance with California public‑works, prevailing‑wage, and safety regulations. • Deliver shop drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and meet a 90‑day contract completion schedule.
