The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is seeking a professional executive recruitment service to initiate a national search for its next Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated executive leadership, outstanding communication skills, and a proven ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with various stakeholders. The selected firm will be responsible for identifying and recruiting a candidate who meets the JTA's requirements, including experience leading a unionized workforce, successful oversight of large-scale capital programs, and deep acumen in public-sector business administration. The scope of work includes providing a comprehensive search process, identifying and evaluating candidates, and presenting a shortlist of qualified candidates to the JTA. Key responsibilities of the CEO include stabilizing and right-sizing the JTA's operating budget, developing and executing a comprehensive strategic plan, providing steady leadership to the Board and City Council, and overseeing the continued build-out of the Ultimate Urban Circulator (U2C)/NAVI autonomous transit program. • Demonstrated executive leadership and experience leading a unionized workforce • Outstanding communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships • Successful oversight of large-scale capital programs and deep acumen in public-sector business administration • Experience in mass transit, transportation, or a closely related infrastructure field • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with an advanced degree preferred • Unquestioned record of personal accountability, integrity, and transparency
