IRFP 10-003-26 Montana Creek State Recreation Site Concessionaire

The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, is soliciting proposals for a qualified entity to operate and manage the Montana Creek State Recreation Site. The Contractor shall be responsible for park management, including janitorial and facility maintenance and repairs, resource protection, public services, site supervision, and fee collection. The contract term will be approximately four years, with the possibility of extension. The Contractor will be required to provide various deliverables, including facility and janitorial maintenance, protection of park natural resources, visitor information, collection of applicable park-user fees, and compliance with applicable sanitary standards. • Key services and activities include: camping, day-use parking, fishing, picnicking, and other outdoor recreation activities. • The Contractor will be responsible for maintaining the public water supply and meeting Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) standards. • The Contractor will be required to provide a Profit and Loss (income) statement specific to the park unit being managed. • The State is willing to consider other revenue-enhancing services proposed by the offeror that are recreation-related and benefit the public’s use and enjoyment of the park.
