Request for Bids - Waste Tire Recovery (Web)

The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and properly dispose of vehicle and equipment tires collected at its municipal solid waste landfill. The contractor will be paid per tire based on five size categories, must operate during landfill public‑access hours, comply with all Kansas and EPA regulations, and cannot subcontract without written consent. The contract is a sealed‑bid award with a two‑year term, beginning May 1 2026. • Perform monthly (or as‑requested) removal of all waste tires from the landfill site. • Provide all labor, equipment, and supervision; ensure the landfill surface is left clean and smooth. • Submit detailed invoices by tire count and category; City pays within 30 days of receipt. • Maintain required insurance (CGL $500k/$1M, auto $500k, workers’ comp, etc.) and indemnify the City.
