South District Police Station and Property & Evidence Storage Facility

The City of Madison is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for architectural and engineering design services for the South District Police Station and Property & Evidence Storage Facility. The project includes the design of a multistory building with vehicle storage, office space, property and evidence storage, forensic services, and a large vehicle processing area. The facility will replace multiple property and evidence storage locations throughout the city and the existing South District Police Station. The selected vendor will provide a range of services, including pre-design and programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. Key features of the project include: • A multistory building with vehicle storage and office space • Property and evidence storage, including a secure vault room and high-density mobile shelving • Forensic services, including a walk-in freezer and laboratory space • A large vehicle processing area with indoor and outdoor vehicle storage • Security cameras, access control, and alarm systems • Shared conference room and community room with MPD and Parks • On-site stormwater management and climate control systems • Compliance with City of Madison's Affirmative Action and Local Preference policies The City of Madison is looking for a vendor with experience in architectural and engineering design services, particularly in the design of public safety facilities.
