IFB No. 2026-027 Yadkin River Water Treatment Plant Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%

The Union County Water department is seeking bids from qualified companies for the delivery of specified water treatment chemicals, specifically Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%, for use at the Yadkin River Water Treatment Plant. The contract may also include additional, unspecified chemical purchases on an as-needed basis. The bidder must provide all necessary equipment, labor, and materials to deliver the chemical to the specified location in a timely fashion. The contract term and payment schedule will be determined based on the bid and the County's needs. • The estimated annual quantity of Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% is 125,000 gallons. • The delivery method will be by tanker, with full tanker loads of approximately 4,000 gallons. • The bidder must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety. • The bidder must provide a list of subcontractors and suppliers, as well as certificates of analysis and safety data sheets for the chemicals. • The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities and technicalities.
