The County seeks a qualified General or Mechanical Contractor to replace the entire Building Automation System (BAS) at the Adult Detention Facility in Wichita, KS. The scope includes removal of existing HVAC controls, installation of new control hardware, software, and a structured‑cabling network, testing, commissioning, and provision of warranties and as‑built documentation. This project emphasizes energy‑efficient HVAC control, reliable communications infrastructure, and compliance with federal, state, and ADA standards. • Replace HVAC control equipment (chillers, boilers, pumps, air handlers, rooftop units, etc.) and integrate with new BAS software. • Install Category‑6 UTP and fiber‑optic structured cabling, telecom racks, patch panels, grounding, fire‑stopping, labeling, and testing per ANSI/TIA/ISO standards (BICSI‑qualified installer required). • Provide all labor, materials, tools, warranties (20‑year product, 1‑year labor for cabling), as‑built drawings, and certifications; performance bond 100 % of contract sum; liquidated damages $500 per day for delay.
