Hazleton Annex Security

Luzerne County is seeking proposals from qualified companies and professionally trained armed security guards to ensure the safety and security of the Hazleton Annex building. The proposed contract term is one year with a possible one-year extension at the county's discretion. The security service provider will be required to deploy two guards at the location, who will be responsible for securing the premises and conducting thorough screenings of all persons and bags entering the facility. The provider must possess all required licenses and certifications for armed security services and provide a copy upon request by the county. • The security services are required at the Hazleton Annex on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. • The guards will be trained and proficient in the operation of security screening equipment. • The primary responsibilities of the guards include deterring, detecting, and preventing the entry of weapons and contraband into the Hazleton Annex. • The contractor shall maintain a professional demeanor and exhibit diligence and vigilance at all times.
