On-Call Engineering, Architecture and Construction Services for Airport Development

The City of Lawrence is issuing an IDIQ RFP to obtain one or more qualified engineering, architectural and construction consulting firms that will serve on‑call for a broad portfolio of airport‑related projects at Lawrence Regional Airport. The contract is a three‑year agreement (with two possible one‑year renewals) under which individual task orders will be issued for design, permitting, construction management, grant administration and related services for runway extensions, taxiway rehabilitation, ARFF station design, aircraft parking and hangar projects, landside roadway and parking improvements, utility upgrades, a new fire station, vertiport design, solar‑farm development and other airport‑master‑plan initiatives. Funding will be sourced from FAA entitlements, KDOT KAIP grants and other federal/state earmarks, with each task order defining its own scope, schedule and budget. The city will evaluate proposals on technical qualifications, past performance and cost, and may require presentations or interviews. The award will be made after a shortlist, interviews, and a final selection notification.
