Maintenance, Repair, and Preservation of Caisson 4-5 Spare

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS and IMF) is seeking a contractor to perform maintenance, repair, and preservation of one Caisson 4-5 Spare. The contractor's facility must be located in the Puget Sound, WA region and have the capability to accommodate a caisson with specific dimensions. The scope of work includes various repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks, such as washing and cleaning the asset, performing structural repairs, and replacing valves and pumps. The vessel availability is scheduled from 6 April 2027 to 7 October 2027. Key tasks include: • Coordinate with the Contracting Officer to deliver the asset to the contractor's facility • Perform base metal and structural repairs • Replace the port rubber seal and perform required inspections and maintenance of starboard seal • Conduct ultrasonic and visual inspections of the hull, weather deck, tanks, piping, and operations deck • Clean and pump tanks, and maintain/replace deck hatches • Install new mimic board, test alarm systems, and clean ventilation • Replace all valves, dewatering pumps, grease lines, steady bearings, actuators, and valve-stem extension shafts • Preserve hull, weather deck, weather deck handrails, tanks, piping, and operations deck • Conduct operational testing and undock the asset
