The Pierce County Maintenance and Operations Division is seeking a vendor to supply 40‑foot aluminum street‑light poles (HAPCO or approved equivalent) and associated hardware. Delivery will be to the County’s traffic office; installation is performed by County personnel. The contract is initially estimated at $400,000 per year, with a one‑year base term and automatic year‑to‑year renewal up to five years. Bids must be submitted electronically via OpenGov by October 9, 2026, and all questions are due by October 2, 2026.
• Supply of 40‑ft tapered aluminum poles meeting AASHTO structural standards (minimum 50‑year design life, wind design up to 115 mph).
• Includes base flanges (small 8″ and large 10″), bracket arm interface, reinforced handhole, grounding lug, toe caps, and pole caps.
• Must conform to detailed material specifications (alloy 6063‑T6, wall thickness ≥0.188 in., etc.).
• Shipping and delivery to 9200 122nd St. E., Puyallup, WA 98373 included in unit price.
• Vendor responsible for insurance (CGL $1M, auto $1M, workers comp, etc.) and must provide certifications, weld procedures, and warranty (minimum 1‑year, up to 18 months).
• Evaluation based on lowest responsive, responsible bid; contract award expected shortly after bid opening (public webcast).
• Contract may be renewed annually for up to five years; prices fixed for first six months, thereafter adjustable per vendor cost changes.
