Certified Mobile Diesel Mechanic Services

The City of Gallup Electric Department is soliciting proposals from qualified and certified mobile diesel mechanic service providers to furnish on-site preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services for its fleet of diesel-powered utility vehicles and equipment. The selected contractor shall provide certified mobile diesel mechanic services, including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of diesel-powered fleet vehicles and utility equipment. The contractor must meet minimum qualifications, including certified diesel technicians, fully licensed to operate in New Mexico, fully insured, and mobile service units equipped with diagnostic software and tools. The contractor shall provide written estimates prior to major repairs and shall not proceed without approval. • Preventive maintenance services • Diagnostic and repair services • Troubleshooting and diagnostics • Engine repair and overhaul • Electrical system repair • Drivetrain and suspension service and repair • After-treatment/DEF system service • Cooling system repair • Brake and suspension repair The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to cancel the bid, to waive technicalities, and to accept the proposal it deems to be in the best interest of the City.
