Property Appraisal Services

The City of Raleigh is seeking a firm to provide professional appraisal and valuation services for its insured properties. The selected firm will conduct on-site inspections and appraisals of City properties, providing replacement cost and actual cash values for each building or structure. The firm will also provide valuation of contents on a cost new replacement basis. The contract period is expected to be five years, with an option to extend for an additional five years. The City is looking for a firm with demonstrated expertise in public-sector property appraisal, knowledge of applicable appraisal standards, and the capacity to perform timely, thorough, and professional valuation services. Some key requirements for the proposal include: • Providing a comprehensive narrative, outline, and/or graph demonstrating the firm's understanding and approach to accomplishing the tasks outlined in the Scope of Work section • Including a project-specific firm chart that clearly illustrates the roles, responsibilities, and reporting relationships of each team member • Providing a copy of the Proposal Cost Form and any additional itemized cost breakdown or price schedule • Submitting a signed original, an electronic version of the signed proposal, and two copies of the signed proposal The City will evaluate proposals based on criteria such as corporate background and experience, firm financial stability, project understanding, project approach, team firm experience, and proposed cost.
