Pacheco Pumping Plant Pump 12 Rebuild

The Santa Clara Valley Water District is seeking qualified contractors to rebuild Pump 12 at the remote Pacheco Pumping Plant and refurbish its associated 24‑inch cone valve. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision needed to disassemble, transport, inspect, repair, re‑coat, dynamically balance, and reinstall the vertical‑shaft turbine pump and valve, then perform start‑up, hydraulic performance, and vibration testing in accordance with Valley Water specifications. The scope also includes preparation of as‑found and as‑built documentation, compliance with prevailing‑wage rules, and provision of required bonds and insurance. • Remove, ship, and rebuild a 24‑in, 2,000 HP vertical turbine pump and 24‑in cone valve. • Perform surface preparation, METCO ceramic coating, bearing replacement, impeller balancing, and hydrostatic testing. • Conduct third‑party start‑up, commissioning, and performance testing; submit detailed inspection reports. • Manage logistics, safety, environmental compliance, and all required documentation, bonds, and insurance.
