The County of Kauai’s Department of Water is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the failing pump/motor assembly at Koloa Well F. The contract includes removal of the existing 1200 gpm, 245 ft TDH pump and motor, site preparation, installation of a new 1200 gpm pump with associated appurtenances, well cleaning, testing, and a one‑year warranty. Work must be completed within 270 calendar days after award, and the estimated contract value is under $500,000. • Remove existing pump/motor assembly and assess cause of failure. • Supply and install a new 1200 gpm vertical lineshaft pump and refurbish/reuse the 100 HP motor if suitable. • Bail, clean, and inspect the well casing using down‑hole camera and heavy‑duty brushes. • Install new pump, perform disinfection, and conduct performance testing per ANSI B58.1. • Provide a well‑completion report, one‑year workmanship warranty, and ensure all removed equipment is either reused or disposed per agency direction. • Contractor must hold appropriate Hawaii “A” or “B” general contractor license and any required specialty licenses.
