RFP for Forensic Accounting Services

Mecklenburg County is seeking a vendor to provide forensic accounting services to support the Adult Protective Services (APS) Division in investigating and responding to cases of suspected financial exploitation of vulnerable adults. The selected vendor will be required to provide specialized financial analysis and investigative support, including reviewing financial documents, identifying irregularities, and reconstructing financial timelines. The vendor will also be required to provide weekly updates and track the number of days between case referral and completed forensic report. The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. The key aspects of this project include: • Providing forensic accounting services to support APS in investigating and responding to cases of suspected financial exploitation • Reviewing financial documents and identifying irregularities • Reconstructing financial timelines and tracking the number of days between case referral and completed forensic report • Providing weekly updates and meeting performance indicators • Complying with state and federal regulatory standards and demonstrating financial stability • Meeting the participation goals for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE)
