Utility Department Collection Agency Services

The City of North Las Vegas is seeking a collection agency to provide services for delinquent fees and fines of the City's Utility Accounts. The scope of work includes collection efforts, skip-tracing, telephone calls, and credit bureau inquiries. The service provider must be able to effect collection in all 50 states and provide required reports, including an annual report of uncollectable accounts and a monthly report detailing cumulative data. The service provider must also be able to receive and send documents electronically and communicate through email and data transfers. • The collection agency will be responsible for all costs associated with collecting accounts, including postal costs and equipment costs. • The agency must be able to settle accounts for the full amount due, unless authorized by the City to settle for less. • The agency must provide an annual report of uncollectable accounts and a monthly report detailing cumulative data. • The agency must be able to receive and send documents electronically and communicate through email and data transfers. • The agency must be licensed and bonded and have a City business license.
