Description
The Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the roof on the Nutrition Center located at 1100 Race St NE, Grand Rapids, MI. The scope includes complete removal of the existing roofing system, inspection and repair of the roof deck, installation of new insulation, a PVC roofing membrane, flashing at all penetrations, and edge detailing. Work is scheduled to start in March 2027 (weather permitting) and must be fully completed by June 1 2027. The project is subject to local vendor preference discounts, requires bid security (5 % of bid), and mandates several certifications (DTMB, Michigan‑Based Business, familial relationship, Iran sanctions, debarment). Bids are due 11/3/2026 at 2:00 pm; a non‑mandatory pre‑bid conference is on 10/23/2026.
