Description
The Village of Westchester is undertaking a comprehensive water main replacement and related infrastructure upgrade across multiple locations in the village. The scope includes installing new 12‑inch and 8‑inch PVC water mains, constructing lateral storm sewers, abandoning existing mains, replacing water service boxes, installing valve vaults and fire hydrants, lead service line replacement, spot repairs to storm and sanitary sewers, and extensive roadway resurfacing and restoration. The project must incorporate a 24% MBE and 10% WBE participation requirement for the portion funded by a $250,000 Cook County CDBG grant, with all grant funds expended by September 30, 2026. Work cannot commence before May 1 2026 without written Village authorization, and the estimated project value is $4 million with completion targeted for October 30 2026.
