The County of Centre, using CDBG funds, is seeking a qualified archaeological consultant to conduct a Phase I Archaeological Survey for the Eagle Creek Sewer Project in Union Township. The contractor will perform background research, develop a field‑investigation plan, survey the identified Area of Potential Effect (including site 36CE0158), and deliver a full SHPO‑compliant report with maps, photographs, and recommendations. The contract is a lump‑sum professional‑services agreement with mandatory MBE/WBE participation and required professional liability insurance. • Conduct comprehensive background review of existing archaeological records and PA‑SHARE data. • Perform on‑site Phase I field investigations within the project’s limits of disturbance, focusing on pre‑contact Native American site 36CE0158. • Prepare and submit a detailed Phase I report meeting PA SHPO standards, including electronic copies for PA‑SHARE upload. • Provide a project schedule, meet MBE/WBE participation goals (5 % minority, 3 % women), and supply proof of professional liability insurance.
