Recreation Management Software

The City of Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a recreation management software to manage its recreation programs and services. The software should be able to handle core duties such as permitting and licensing, special event workflows, and data conversion. The City is looking for a user-friendly and efficient system that can differentiate between debit and credit card payments and provide the ability to pass credit card fees on to the customer. The selected vendor will be responsible for implementing the software, providing training and technical support, and ensuring that the system is integrated with other City systems. • The City's current data and records are a bit disorganized, and they are considering a fresh start in building households/accounts and setting up programs, cost centers, etc. • The City prefers a virtual implementation to avoid additional costs for on-site implementation and training. • The City anticipates a core working team of 7-10 staff to be heavily involved with implementation. • The annual revenue for the recreation department is approximately $2.4m, with $1.8m to $2.2m estimated to be run through the new software system. • The City is looking for a system that can handle its most core duties flawlessly and provide responsiveness to challenges and concerns. • The City uses PeopleSoft for Financial/ERP and ArcGIS/ESRI for GIS, and the level of integration required will be discussed with selected firms during the evaluation process.
