Description
The State of Hawaii’s Department of Defense is seeking qualified contractors to replace a water backflow preventor assembly at the FMS 1 (CSMS Kalaeloa) site. The work includes coordination with the local water authority, preparatory safety measures, removal of existing flange caps, installation of a new 10‑inch backflow preventor (preferred brand Wilkins or approved equal), testing for proper operation, final clean‑up, and submission of required environmental and compliance reports. The contract is subject to Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage rules, Act 68 employment‑resident requirements, and mandatory performance/payment bonding for contracts $50,000 or greater.
