Philpott Powerhouse - Governor Assessment and Repair

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, intends to award a sole source contract to Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions to provide assessment and repair on two existing governors at Philpott Powerhouse, North Carolina. The contractor shall perform an assessment on the electrical, electronic, and mechanical aspects of the governor to ensure it will be ready to be fully operational during commissioning of the units, currently scheduled for November 2026. The key aspects of this opportunity include: • Assessment and repair of two existing governors on Units 1 and 2 at Philpott Powerhouse • Thorough inspection of the electrical, electronic, and mechanical aspects of the governor • Completion of all services within 120 days from the award date • Compliance with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 811310
