2027 Raw Waterline Inspection Project

The City of Cortez is seeking a qualified engineering firm to perform a comprehensive condition inspection of approximately four miles of raw water transmission pipeline (24‑inch and 30‑inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe) from McPhee Reservoir to the Cortez Water Treatment Plant. The contractor must use nondestructive inspection technology to evaluate prestressing wire condition, detect structural deficiencies, and navigate existing butterfly valves. Scope includes designing and installing any required extraction points, coordinating subcontractors, delivering a full engineering evaluation of structural condition and remaining useful life, and producing a detailed report with maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, or replacement recommendations. Attendance at one of two mandatory pre‑bid meetings/site visits (Nov 17 or Nov 20, 2026) is required.
