The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking bids for the installation of a campus-wide network video surveillance system. The system must provide full entrance and parking-area coverage, route feeds by campus to the appropriate UPD monitoring environment, and maintain compatible 30-day video retention on designated server infrastructure. The project requires the contractor to coordinate access, staging, parking, lift use, pathway routing, building entry, IDF/MDF/server room access, roof or exterior-wall access if applicable, utility/network connections, existing low-voltage pathways, fire-rated penetrations, adjacent occupied building impacts, research/lab operational impacts, pedestrian and vehicle circulation, and UPD IT coordination. The work must be phased and scheduled to minimize disruption to occupied DRI facilities and to maintain safe access to entrances, parking lots, and campus circulation routes.
• The project is a prevailing wage project.
• The contractor must meet the project-specific qualifications already written into the specs.
• The contractor must coordinate work with DRI, campus representatives, UPD, and affected departments to avoid conflicts with campus events, research operations, parking impacts, building access restrictions, high-traffic periods, and any Owner-designated blackout dates.
• The estimated cost range is $300,000 to $400,000.
• The project is scheduled to begin on July 13, 2026, and shall be fully complete by August 14, 2026.
