INSTALLATION OF PUBLIC SAFETY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT

The City of Charlottesville is seeking a contractor to provide installation of public safety vehicle equipment, including lights, radios, cameras, and other equipment. The contractor will be responsible for building new police department vehicles, installing equipment, and repairing existing vehicles. The contract will be for one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional years. The City encourages the participation of small and micro businesses, businesses owned by women and minorities, and veteran-owned businesses. • The contractor must be certified by Axon Enterprises and have Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification. • The contractor must provide a minimum 30-day warranty on all installation services and workmanship. • The contractor must have experience in providing similar services and must provide references. • The contractor must be able to provide timely and high-quality repairs and must have a plan in place for utilizing small businesses and businesses owned by women and minorities.
