Media Incineration

The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide media incineration services for the secure disposal of classified information storage devices. The contractor will be responsible for facilitating witness validation, transporting media to the final disposal facility, and ensuring the integrity and security of the media being disposed of. The types of media to be incinerated include magnetic tapes, magnetic disks, diskettes, optical storage devices, hard copy storage devices, and other forms of classified information storage. The contract will be for a base period with two option years. Key features of the proposed solution include: • Witness validation to ensure positive visibility of containers designated for incineration • Personnel involvement in the transportation and incineration process • Secure loading and transportation of media in 55-gallon fiberboard drums • Incineration of various forms of classified information storage devices The establishment of a contract with a reliable media incineration service is crucial for the secure and effective disposal of classified information storage devices.
