RECS RFP Predesign Heating & Cooling Plants MCF-Sh

The Minnesota Department of Corrections is seeking a qualified mechanical engineering consultant to prepare a comprehensive pre-design study evaluating the replacement of the existing boiler and heating system with a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) system at the MCF-Shakopee campus. The purpose of this pre-design is to determine the most feasible and cost-effective approach to reducing long-term utility costs, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and meeting statutory sustainability requirements. • The project includes the preparation of a pre-design report and bi-weekly team meetings, on-site meetings, and investigations as required. • The consultant will be reimbursed for printing, plans, and other expenses as outlined in the Schedule of Reimbursable Expenses. • The consultant must provide an all-inclusive fee proposal, including professional fees for basic services and reimbursable expenses.
