Design Services - Iowa PBS HVAC Motivair Units Replacement

The State of Iowa is seeking professional design services for the replacement of two Motivair units with new units, including similar capacity ACCU chillers and some free-cooling preferred. The selected firm will be responsible for providing design services, attending design kick-off meetings, and coordinating with the Construction Manager and other stakeholders. The project is expected to commence in April 2026 and be completed by December 2026. Key considerations for the project include avoiding major piping changes and work in air handlers, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and applicable AHJ codes. • The selected firm will be required to provide a detailed design schedule, cost estimating, and status reporting. • The firm will also be responsible for coordinating with the Construction Manager and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth project execution. • The project will involve multiple stakeholders, including the State of Iowa, the Construction Manager, and other contractors. • The selected firm will be required to provide a lump sum pricing for the project, including all reimbursables. • The firm will also be required to provide a unit price per construction inspection visit.
