RFP To Provide Audit Services

The City of Hickory is seeking a qualified independent auditor to provide audit services for a period of three years. The auditor will be responsible for conducting a financial and compliance examination of the City's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of North Carolina. The audit will cover federal, state, and local funding sources and will be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. The auditor will also be required to provide guidance and input on the completion of certain schedules and documents and to attend the Audit Committee meeting and the City Council meeting for presentation of the financial statements. • The audit will encompass a financial and compliance examination of the City's ACFR. • The auditor will be required to provide guidance and input on the completion of certain schedules and documents. • The auditor will be required to attend the Audit Committee meeting and the City Council meeting for presentation of the financial statements. • The City prefers interim fieldwork to be completed between May and June. • The City requires the auditor to have experience in performing governmental audits and to be registered with the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners.
