Request for Qualifications-Design Services for Police Department Repair and Interior Fortification

The Town of Shrewsbury is seeking qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide professional design services for the repair and improvement of the Shrewsbury Police Department building. The scope of work will focus on repairs to the Police Department building and will incorporate the evaluation of additional interior fortification improvements. The selected consultant will serve as Designer of Record and prepare plans and specifications suitable for construction bidding under M.G.L. Chapter 149. Key requirements include: • Experience in architecture and structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering • Fully licensed or registered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts • Experience with Massachusetts public procurement laws and construction administration for public buildings • Anticipated construction cost of the repair work is approximately $1.1 million • Designer fees will be negotiated with the highest ranked firm
