Description

The City of St. Charles seeks qualified vendors to recondition an existing 34.5/12.47 kV substation transformer that is currently in operation. The successful bidder must handle removal of the transformer, round‑trip transportation to a reconditioning facility, complete reconditioning, testing, and return delivery to the substation. This is a single‑unit, service‑oriented contract with a clear scope of work and a tight submission window. • Remove the transformer from the St. Charles substation and transport it to a qualified reconditioning shop. • Perform full reconditioning, including inspection, repair, rewinding, testing, and certification to meet utility standards. • Return the transformer to the original site, reinstall, and verify operational readiness. • All work must be completed before the contract award date; bidders must submit electronic proposals by the stated deadline.
