Janitorial Svc D7 Office (Lexington)

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways District 7, is seeking a vendor to provide janitorial services for the District 7 Office located in Lexington, Kentucky. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with the option to renew for additional years. The vendor will be responsible for providing labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to perform custodial services, including daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning tasks. The vendor must also provide a list of all employees who will be working on the contract, as well as their telephone numbers, and must ensure that all employees are at least 18 years old and have undergone a background check. Some key tasks and responsibilities include: * Daily: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash, and cleaning breakrooms * Weekly: dusting high and low horizontal surfaces, cleaning baseboards, and cleaning windows * Monthly: deep cleaning of tile work, cleaning door kicks and push plates, and vacuuming furniture * Semi-annual: stripping, sealing, and waxing floors, and cleaning carpets using the extraction method * Annual: washing windows, washing blinds, washing light fixtures, and top scrubbing and waxing floors The vendor must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those related to safety, health, and the environment.
