Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is soliciting bids to supply a broad range of dairy and related food products (butter, cheese, margarine, yogurt, fruit drinks, etc.) to Wernersville State Hospital for the period January 1 through March 31 2027. The contract will be awarded to a vendor that can meet strict Pennsylvania and federal food safety, labeling, and delivery specifications, provide refrigerated or frozen transport, and accept the possibility of quantity adjustments or cancellations with 15‑day notice.

• Contract type: IFB (Invitation for Bid) – goods only, no services
• Required items include various dairy products, butter, margarine, vegetable oil spreads, cheeses, yogurts, fruit drinks, lemonade, and iced tea, with specific brand and grade requirements.
• All products must comply with Title 7, Pennsylvania Code, Chapter 59 and FDA labeling regulations.
• Shipments must be on clean refrigerated/freezer trucks, maintaining required temperatures (≤40 °F for chilled, solidly frozen for frozen).
• Vendor must allow facility sampling for lab analysis; any rejected product costs are charged to the vendor.
