Cloud and Precipitation Algorithm Support

NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center seeks a sole‑source contractor to provide cloud and precipitation algorithm support. The effort will involve developing, integrating, and evaluating algorithms that process GEO and LEO satellite data, creating high‑resolution cloud/precipitation products compatible with NASA Worldview, and supplying on‑site compute resources with direct access to multi‑satellite repositories. The contractor will also assist in statistical aggregation over the CONUS region, focusing on known cloud‑seeding locations, and will support the technical implementation of GEO geophysical retrieval algorithms. This support is intended to aid a pilot investigation into the detectability of cloud‑seeding activities. • Develop and implement cloud‑precipitation algorithms for GEO sensors. • Provide local compute environment with direct, high‑bandwidth access to NASA satellite archives (GEO, LEO, ancillary). • Produce Level‑1B and Level‑2 imagery compatible with NASA Worldview and support statistical analysis over CONUS. • Offer technical assistance for algorithm integration, data processing, and evaluation of cloud‑seeding detectability. • Work under a 12‑month period of performance starting upon award.
