The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services for Wirth Hall Tunnel Repairs at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute. The project involves repairs to deteriorating concrete joints in an existing tunnel connected to Wirth Hall. The selected firm will provide design services, including evaluation of the tunnel system, recommendations for repairs, and construction administration. The firm will also be responsible for attending design kick-off meetings, providing cost opinions, and assisting with bid package development. • The project requires a firm with experience in designing similar or relevant projects for the State of Iowa. • The firm must have sufficient, qualified staff to deliver the services needed. • The firm must have the resources and capabilities to complete the required work in an efficient and timely manner. • The firm must provide a lump sum pricing for the project, including all reimbursables. • The firm must have professional liability insurance in the amount of $2 million.
