Saturday Fixed Route Transit Services RFP

The City of Bettendorf, Iowa, is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced transportation providers capable of furnishing professional fixed route transit operations. The contract period will be for FY 2027 (July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027), with the option to extend up to an additional two years, with satisfactory performance. The City is seeking a provider to operate three Saturday fixed routes, using the provider's vehicles, dispatch service, and staff. The provider will be responsible for maintaining the vehicles, providing dispatch services, and ensuring that all passengers have a safe and comfortable ride. • The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. • The award will be based upon the cumulative value of all three years. • The provider must have experience in operating fixed route transit services and must be able to provide a high level of service to the community. • The provider will be required to submit a pricing proposal, which will include the cost of operating the services, including labor, management, fuel, maintenance, and other provisions necessary to operate the Saturday Fixed Routes Transit Services. • The provider will also be required to submit a brief history of their organization's qualifications and capabilities, as well as references from other communities they have provided services to. • The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any irregularities in the proposals received.
