Scrap Tire Hauling and Processing

The City of Omaha is seeking bids from qualified companies for the hauling and processing of scrap tires as part of the Tire Cleanup Program 2026. The program aims to provide scrap tire disposal to residents through three one-day collection events. The successful bidder will be responsible for collecting and transporting tires from assigned sites to a Scrap Tire processing facility, ensuring that the tires are processed and disposed of in an approved manner. The contract will be for a lump sum price per compactor truck, per truck/container combo, or per ton per day. The City reserves the right to cancel or suspend the contract at any time with 14-day notice. Key requirements include: • Providing all labor, services, and equipment necessary for the collection and transportation of scrap tires • Maintaining access to the collection site during the event • Providing personnel at the assigned collection sites by 8:30 AM • Cooperating with the City to maximize program efficiency and avoid disruption of operations • Transporting all collected scrap tires to a certified scale after each collection event • Providing equipment operators who are properly licensed and maintaining all equipment in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
