Description

The Parish of Caddo is seeking a qualified vendor to supply a broad range of veterinary pharmaceuticals, injectable and oral medicines, and related consumable supplies for its Animal Services Department. The contract is a one‑year award with an optional one‑year renewal, and the vendor must provide firm unit prices for all items throughout the contract term. Bids may be submitted either in hard copy or electronically via the BidExpress portal (subject to a fee and a required digital signature certificate). The solicitation includes an extensive item list (approximately 150 SKUs) with estimated annual usage quantities, but no price information is disclosed; bidders must fill in unit prices on the provided form. The Parish reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will waive technicalities at its discretion.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The contract covers roughly 150 SKUs with estimated annual usage ranging from 1 to 128 units per item. Assuming an average unit price of $100 (some high‑value pharmaceuticals may be $200‑$300, while low‑cost consumables may be $20‑$50), the total annual spend could fall between $200,000 and $500,000. The low estimate reflects modest pricing for most items; the high estimate assumes higher‑priced drugs and a full utilization of the higher‑quantity items. Because the contract is firm‑price for one year (renewable for a second year), the revenue range for the vendor would likely be within this band for the initial term.
