Description
This North Carolina DOT RFP seeks a qualified contractor to provide multi‑year maintenance of state‑route shoulders and medians in Edgecombe County (Division 4). The work includes routine and cleanup mowing, vegetation trimming, and litter/debris removal on a variety of road types (primary divided, primary undivided, secondary paved/unpaved, interstate, etc.). The contract is effective March 1 2027 and runs through February 29 2028, with a possible extension of up to four additional one‑year terms (max 5 years total). Pre‑qualification is mandatory; bidders must hold the NCDOT Work Code 016607 (Mowing) and, if performing work‑zone traffic control, Work Code 001105. Performance guarantees may be provided via bonds or a 6 % retainage.
