Upfit of Cargo Van for Animal Transport

The City of Cedar Rapids Fleet Services Division is seeking bids for the upfit of a cargo van for animal transport. The van will be used to transport animals and will require various modifications, including the installation of animal cages, insulation, and ventilation systems. The successful bidder will be required to provide a fully functional and equipped vehicle that meets the specifications outlined in the bid document. The scope of work includes the installation of interior walls and ceiling with fire-rated foam insulation, diamond plate aluminum flooring, and animal compartments with stainless steel cages and polycarbonate doors. The vehicle will also require a digital readout thermometer, air circulation system, and storage areas for equipment. • The van must be equipped with a two-component polyurethane foam insulation system • The animal compartments must be constructed of 22-gauge polished stainless steel • The cages must have 3/8” thick “Clear-View” polycarbonate doors with a diamond gloss coating • The vehicle must have a digital readout thermometer and air circulation system • The successful bidder must provide a full set of as-built CAD drawings prior to award
